Effective June 1, 2016 the Ontario government has introduced changes to the automobile insurance system that will impact your insurance coverage. These changes will provide you with the opportunity to choose the benefit amount that will suit your individual needs. You can chose to leave the new lowered and combined benefits that will come into effect on your next renewal date following June 1, 2016 or you can increase the coverage anytime following the effective date. This option is for those who do not want to wait until their renewal date. Accident Benefits are considered secondary coverage to any personal or group polices that are available to you. Accident Benefits may also be used as a top up to your existing benefits where a shortfall is identified. Below we will go into detail about the changes to be made and the changes that you will now be able to make.
